We Manage the Sale of the Contents of Your Home with the
Utmost Care and Consideration.

What is an Estate Sale?
An Estate Sale is an “on premises” sale that is used to sell all or part of the contents of any size home. This can be due to down-sizing, moving or a true estate and does not require the contents to be antiques. Any and all items can be sold from Fine Furnishings and Art to Clothing and Ephemera (collectible paper), so Don’t Throw Anything Away until you Talk to Us First!

How Does It Work?
First we meet to discuss your needs and any considerations you may have. We then do a general appraisal of the contents to be sold. From this appraisal we estimate the total that you can expect from the sale; or if a sale is viable. There is No Cost or Obligation for this Consultation, unless you require other services.
When you decide to use Brevard Estates, contracts are signed and we get to work. We clean, sort, research and price every item. We bring in display cases, tables & necessary props and stage your home to showcase your contents securely and to their best advantage. We handle all advertising and staffing, manage the sale, and if you wish, leave the house “broom clean” and ready for closing. After the sale, you receive a detailed accounting of all items sold along with your proceeds.

What Do We Charge?
We work on a commission basis. The commission is based on the estimated gross of the sale, time is needed to prepare the sale, necessary staffing and any other anticipated costs. The commission rate is established before the contract is signed, and will only change if you change items to be sold. The commission is paid from the proceeds of the sale and in most cases; no fees are required before that time.

We understand today’s changing marketplace and we work diligently to research your contents to get the best possible return for you. We also understand that settling an estate or just moving can be an emotionally and physically draining experience. While getting the optimum return for your contents is our primary objective, your comfort with the entire process will always remain one of our most important concerns.
