Circa 1986, Bev Doolittle print, titled "Unknown Presence", is professional framed with an Indian arrowhead. The back of the frame reveals a message from the artist: "If you've ever camped out in the wilderness, you can relate to this painting. Picture yourself sitting around a campfire. Somewhere out there in the darkness you hear something. Is it the wind, a bear, or is it just your imagination? This Mountain Man has heard something and it worries him enough that he's reaching for his rifle. You gotta figure a guy this experienced isn't just imagining things. There really is something out there! If you don't believe him, or me, just look at his horse. He hears it, too! No, I'm not going to tell you what the "Presence" is. I'm not really sure." Bev Doolittle is an American artist that paints about the American West. This beautifully matted and framed piece measures 15"x20". Ready to hang in your home or office. History: This print was purchased by the client's husband in a Midland, TX art gallery. I believe it is a limited production print of the painting. The client's love of history and weapons of this period inspired him to buy it. It hung in his office for about 30 years. 227 / 235 -

What an opportunity to own very collectible metal toy truck from Buddy L. This 1940 Baggage Truck is in fair condition. It still has all 4 wheels and they turn. The original paint is still there, but a bit worn and rusty due to its age and being a well loved and played with toy. The decals on each side are still in place, but one is more clear than the other. See the photos. The truck is almost 18" long and is 5" tall. The colors are red and yellow. Fred A. Lundahl owned Moline Pressed Steel Co. in the early 1900's. The company was in the automobile parts business, but started making metal toys in 1921. He made toys for his son out of scrap metal and turned that into a business. They made pull toys, small trucks and other work vehicles, and large vehicles children could ride. Buddy L was considered a pioneer in the steel toy field and held contracts with Marshall Fields and F. A. O. Schwarz. The company was sold during the depression. Earlier toys are generally higher quality and built to last. They are very desired by collectors and can bring a high price. The toys made later are still valued and sought after. Values depend upon rarity and condition. 229 / 235 -
