Sunday is a good day to shop at Half Price for your treasure.
If you attended Sires Elementary School, you will remember your principle and his menagerie at the "farm" on W. Butternut Rd. Now is your opportunity to purchase a bit of South Carolina history. We have created an antique shop on the 8 acres in addition to the main house brimming with treasures and furniture. In the shop is a school desk, bow fronted china cabinet, dressers, 2 Singer sewing machines, a vegetable bin, a wet sink, rockers, caned chairs, photos, carved ducks, oil lamps, boxes, tables, writing desks, 7 vintage TVs, 3 metal beds, and a large birdcage.
You know that in the office of this educator is plenty of school supplies and equipment. We have 4 laptops, a Dell computer set up, desk, vintage wooden file cabinet, easels, bookshelves and loads of books in the library.
There is so much Christmas we have not one but two rooms dedicated to decorations. There is an entire room designated to the children with loads of toys, vintage hobby horse and a charming table with high back chairs. For the collector there are American Girl dolls and vintage Barbie dolls.
There is loads and loads of wall art. There are celebrity autographs including the Lone Ranger and Johnny Carson.
The kitchen is loaded with excellent cookware, Corning, pottery, cow items, so many chicken items of every category, tailgating items, baskets, pineapple and palm items, and, of course, glassware. In the dining room is a large selection of barware including beautiful decanters, some never used, pewter, silver plated serving items and flatware and loads of table linens.
For the diva, there is lots of costume jewelry, very many handbags, shoes, and clothes. There are 2 wedding gowns, one is vintage with its' matching head piece and the other a new strapless creation. Both would be suitable to grace an upcoming special day.
Outside we have not one but two John Deere riding lawnmowers, trailers, good work ladders, loads of yard tools, handyman tools, yard art, pots, and an assortment of benches and outdoor furniture along with a gas grill.
For the sports and collegiate enthusiasts we have all things USC Gamecocks and Citadel memorabilia.
If you need a work horse of a car there is a 2002 Ford Expedition with 310K miles. Has new battery. It wants to start but just doesn't.
