We take cash, check and card. Please no early birds!
It's that time again: Hester's Closet is full of brand new old stuff and it's just about time for one heckuva killer 3-day sale!
This is a sale for the makers! The back yard will be full of quilting supplies: fabric, notions, quilting books, sewing patterns. We'll also have buttons and lace.
Inside we have books and records, killer vintage jewelry and clothes, Native American pots, baskets, dolls, and beaded items (Santa Clara, Hopi, Athabaskan, etc), art glass (from Bohemian to Murano to EAPG to American brilliant), some vintage kitchen stuffs, many many Jade bonsai and some other Asian antiques, Limoges, McCoy, vintage rodeo belt buckles and cowboy-related things, candlesticks, brass bells and pagodas... too much cool stuff to list!
We are featuring art from some amazing local artists! We are so so so happy to provide a venue to showcase some of Portland's talent: Ed Kitson and Laura Barstow.
In addition to a houseful of art, antiques and vintage, we have a fully stocked garage with fantastic items that we're ready to say goodbye to or are gorgeous but slightly damaged. You can pick up single items for ONE DOLLAR on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday when we want them GONE, you can fill a whole box of garage goodies in exchange for one dollar.
Are you a teacher? Do you make amazing things? We support you! Tell us about it and we'll work with you on prices.

***** About us: Julie's grandmother was Hester, for whom this collective of fantastic antiques and their fans is named. Hester had an eye for the beautiful and was an avid collector. She amassed households full to the brim of antique lamp shades, cruets, purses, clothes, jewelry, art glass, shells, miniature oil lamps... and more. Check out our Etsy site for a sampling of the kinds of goods we'll be featuring!
We hope you'll come, admire, and bring some pieces home to give them new life.
