Thousands of vintage and antiquarian used books, all types, ages & genres.
There is an extensive vintage fiction section as well as very nice non-fiction, history, science, religion sections. Topics related to the publications of the authors from the family range from medicine to history, natural science, firearms, outdoors subjects, hunting, fishing, how-to books, just to give a general idea of some specialty topics. But there are books of almost any topic here that were also collected by the family, including cook books, children's, text books, music, religion & more.
Far too much to list.
OPEN BY APPOINTMENT 10AM TO 5PM through Summer, any day of the week by appointment.
THIS SPECIALTY SALE IS ONLY THE LIBRARY PORTION OF THIS MASSIVE HOARDER'S ESTATE
We have 3 generations of published authors in this family, and we bought out other estates' libraries to add to our own over the years. All of this has accumulated in packed boxes, haphazardly in this storage location. It is not organized. I have shelved as much as time & space would permit, but much is still packed & unsorted. My family has been collecting and hoarding them for decades and has amassed a collection spanning thousands of titles.
Many of them came from miscellaneous estates or yard sales, fleamarkets & used book shops over the decades.
As far as the family's books, the first generation was published primarily between the 20s and the 60s. The subsequent generation was published between the 1950s through the 90s.
Some of the books were purchased new or purchased from quality antiquarian book dealers in the sixty's seventy's and eighty's.
A select few titles are brand new, sealed cases from the publishers that were remaindered in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
There are dollar books here, as well as some decent, attractive decorator quality inexpensive books (less than $10) for those merely seeking "the look" on a budget.
And there are also antique and collector grade, valuable books here.
This is for serious book buyers only. Dealers and decorators are welcome. Collectors and avid readers are preferred.
They are housed indoors, and they are well lit. But some of the spines are hard to read, so a flashlight may be helpful. There is no heat in the building, so dress accordingly. We have shelved as many as we can, but we do not have shelf space enough for all of them. We will be unloading additional boxes and refilling shelves as we sell them. This is an on-going book purge, private sale style. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION.
I work from home, so I am here every day. I manage the estate sale, but it is not my full-time job, so weekdays you must make an appointment.
We are available ANY day of the week.
This is a SERIOUS book sale, not a dumpster dive. You may come any day, but please do not waste my time.
If you come on a weekend, you don't need any appointment. Just show up, any time after 10am.
Thank you for READING!!
