This gracious home was owned by a couple who have been married for over 70 years.
The gentleman worked in the food business his entire career, retiring as a Senior Vice President for a major food company based in Winston-Salem. After retirement, he served on the boards of several local institutions, including the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, Science Works, and the Winston-Salem Symphony.
He and his wife share passions for sailing, travel, and art. They owned several boats over the course of their marriage, and spent lots of happy hours sailing on various lakes around the country and in the Caribbean. They traveled to Europe four times a year, and brought back many mementos of their trips, including some artwork. They supported local artists as well.
