A highly collectible nickel plate over copper mid century modern pedestal stand stamped with Thomas Roy Markusen's mark. 12" w x 9.5" H. One piece. This particular form is very hard to find. The pedestal stand's remarkable worksmanship represents a dramatic free form of sculpture iconic to the brutalist period of American design. The dish shape welded on top of the stand needs the finish restored as there is some oxidization to the nickel plate. There is also a 1/2" area on underside of plate where copper is beginning to show.
