This is an excellent two handled Rookwood vase in a mauve color towards the bottom and fading to a tan shade towards the top. The inside of the vase is mauve. It doesn't appear to have been used. The vase has a smooth matte finish and I see no scratches. There are no chips, cracks repairs or crazing. It looks like it just came from the factory. The bottom of the vase has the Rookwood logo, the designation XXX for a production date of 1930 and the number 2562 for the shape design. Size is 5.25" high. 2" base Valued at $150 201 / 306 -

Rookwood Grecian Urn, Chinese Brown glaze. This Rookwood Grecian urn from 1946 is a nice example of the Chinese Brown glaze. The glaze is expertly applied to accent the design, and it is has typical fine crazing throughout. Every example of these vases we have seen has the same fine crazing, and we speculate it may have been intentional to give it an "anicient" feel. The urn is decorated in the round with classic greek figures and fig trees. It is free from chips, cracks or repairs and is in excellent original condition. Shape number 6791, it displays well, and is a great piece to accent nearly any decor.. 11" Valued at $350 264 / 306 -

I understand why many people think this style of work is from Wedgwood! This green Jasperware creamer (small pitcher or jug) with raised white designs is from Schafer & Vater (founded 1890 in Volkstedt Rudolstad, Thuringa, Germany, closed c. 1960). It has a matte velvety green finish with hard gloss white decoration, with grape vines around the rim, embossed flowers, and two 18th century portraits (the lady looks a bit like Mrs. Siddons, the great tragic actress). The handle is incised, so it looks twisted or like a rope. The small just measures 3-5/8 inches high at the rim, 2-3/8 inches wide across the open rim, and 2-5/8 inches wide across the foot ring. It is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing 273 / 306 -
