Bidding: You must be signed in to your account on www.ctbids.com to place a bid. Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item if it is the high bid. You can also preset your high bid and the system will bid for you automatically and incrementally up to your maximum.
All items with no reserve start bidding at $1.00! Higher end items may have reserve prices. Pick-up: All pick up locations, date and times vary. Please click on each listing to make sure you are aware of the date, time and location of pick up.
Registration: Welcome to CTBids! If you are new to our site, you will need to register to place a bid. To register, click the Registration button in the menu bar at the top and type in all required information. Then you may sign in and bid. Payment: Payment is due upon receipt of invoice and must be paid by at 12:00 pm EST the day after the closing of the sale. To pay your invoice, log into your account on CTBids and locate your unpaid invoice under the My Account screen. Click "checkout". Then click the button at the top to pay via PayPal. You may pay with a PayPal account or with a debit/credit card as a PayPal guest. Please do NOT pay with a linked checking account, "eCheck," or money loaded into your account, as those methods of payment can delay the processing of funds past our payment deadline. *If you do not receive a copy of your invoice, please follow the payment instructions above to access and pay your invoice. Please call to discuss any payment-related concerns before the payment deadline.
Pick-up: The full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders' invoices. You MUST bring all necessary help, vehicles, materials, etc. for lifting and loading won items.
Shipping: If you require shipping, please email email@example.com. Large items, such as furniture may NOT be available for shipping. Shipping is available at buyer's expense with prior consent from seller. A $5-$25 handling fee will be applied based on the size and packaging requirements needed to ship the item. We use USPS Priority. You may be required to set up your own shipping through a carrier such as UPS or FedEx. You will receive a seperate invoice with shipping costs. Depending on the size of the sale and amount of shipping, it could be 7-10 days before you receive your shipping invoice. Please see our Terms & Conditions on the listing below.
Terms: All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. All sales are final. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase and a winning bid is a contract between you and the seller. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold with no refund. Non-payment of your invoice by the payment deadline or non-attendance at the pick-up may result in bidder account suspension. For full Terms & Conditions, please see the listing below.
Terms & Conditions:
Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you win, you must pick up your item(s) or make shipping/delivery arrangements.
If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.
If you bid, you MUST get your purchases on the scheduled pick-up day.
Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. We will NOT be able to lift or carry your items beyond the sale table. Don’t forget tools, dollies, blankets, etc.
Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed. Full payment is due upon receipt of invoice.
To make your payment: log into CTBids, visit the My Account screen and locate your unpaid invoice. Click "checkout" and then click the PayPal button at the top. You can pay via a PayPal account or on PayPal as a 'guest' with a major credit/debit card.
If we do not hear from you by the payment deadline, your items will be resold and your bidding privileges may be suspended.

All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. If items are transported to a different location due to failure to pick up during the scheduled pick up time, a $20 per lot transportation/loading fee will be applied. If you win a lot which includes multiple items, you must take all items in the lot – you cannot pick and choose which ones to take.
A 15% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
We have made every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
