MISSION

Legacy’s mission is to provide a comprehensive set of services, with integrity and distinction, while realizing the maximum value of the estate. We treat each client like family, and conduct sales in a professional, respectful manner in which each estate deserves.


APPROACH

We set up each estate like a model home, in which everything is for sale. This can be a home with or without antiques…there is value in every estate!
The entire house and garage are staged to best display the contents of the estate. By the time we are ready to open the doors for a public sale, the client’s home looks loved and lived-in, and items are displayed to catch the eye of the customers.
Firearms are always welcomed. I partner with dealers throughout Texas to obtain the highest prices for your firearms.
In many cases, the client has automobiles for sale. LEGACY can assist in any automobile, boat, trailer or motorhome sales. LEGACY staff can also assist with brokering a realtor to sell the home as part of the estate.


NO DEALER PRE-SALE DAYS!

There are no dealer pre-sale days. We do not cater to dealers, but they are ALWAYS welcome at our sales. This ensures that on the opening day of the sale there is no exclusive cherry-picking, leaving the house unorganized and with gaps in the display of items.
The sales are conducted as first come, first served. We open to the public which has been notified by newspapers, advertised online & on our website & through Legacy’s extensive email list.
We are not dealers nor do we have booths or run on-line businesses. Beware of companies who are...there can be "nest feathering"!


MAXIMUM VALUE OF THE ESTATE

We don’t sell only to get the job done, but strive to get fair market value prices. We bargain throughout the final sale days in order to reduce the amount of unsold estate items.
Do not throw anything away! If you think you should help shorten the process – don’t! There are items in every home, small or large, that are seemingly insignificant but will sell. Resist the urge to “clean house” and throw items away.

•We accept all forms of payment. Cash is always welcomed, printed local checks with current photo IDs are accepted and we do accept debit & credit cards using Square.

LEGACY collects and pays sales taxes. It is the law!


The LEGACY Services:

•We personally meet with the client to tour and evaluate the estate. A contract is presented and a date for the sale and a timeframe for setup is confirmed.
•Prior to the sale date, the LEGACY crew will be on-site to organize and display the items within the home.
•Multi-media advertising will be published three to five days in advance of the sale.
•Photographs of the estate will be included within the advertising and on the LEGACY & other websites.
•The estate sale will be held over a 2-3 day period, usually Thurs., Fri., and Sat.
•LEGACY will provide security services, if requested. These may include a retired police officer, doorman, secure display methods for jewelry and small collectibles, and shopping baskets. We also have a security system with
8 cameras placed strategically throughout the residence.
•Following the sale, LEGACY will remove staging materials and leave the house broom clean. If there are leftover items within the estate, LEGACY will help suggest charities and/or a plan to remove items.
•Estate sale proceeds along with a breakdown of income and expenses will be sent to client within 30 working days after the sale.

Nationally Accredition
We are accredited with the International Society of Appraisers and USPAP, and can provide personal property appraisals for any of your legal, insurance, or tax needs. Our ongoing education includes completing multiple national appraisal classes and passing the required tests. We hold current national certifications and continue our education as required by the ISA and USPAP. Our prices for written appraisals are well below the national average.
