Our owners, Max and Lana Mitchell have over 40 years of combined experience buying, selling and evaluating fine art, jewelry, antiques, clothing, and other personal items. They have traveled all over the World including to Italy, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, China, Austria, Turkey, Costa Rica, Canada and many other countries in their pursuit of those unique “Treasures”. Also, Lana is Certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

Max, Lana and their professional team are here to help you eliminate the stress and worry normally associated with the sale or liquidation of one’s property. They are known for their integrity, flexibility, honesty and professionalism. ESTATE SALE SERVICES:

Every estate sale is different. We don’t just do estate sales, we also assist people who are relocating, moving or just down-sizing.
When we first receive a telephone call from a prospective client, we will ask several questions to determine their needs before we arrange for a face to face meeting. For instance, we will ask what is to be included in the sale and of course exactly where the sale will take place.

If we feel we can be of assistance, we will then schedule a FREE FACE TO FACE CONSULTATION meeting at the property. Please have all family members remove everything they would like to keep prior to our viewing of the property.

At our meeting, if we agree to work together:
• We will review our contract for our services.
• We will begin our work once the contract is signed.
• We will evaluate, organize and stage the home as needed for the sale.
• We will bring tables and clothing racks to display merchandise to maximize sales.
• We will provide display locking cases for your jewelry and other valuables.
• We will take hundreds of pictures for our online advertising.
• We will do extensive research on the value of your possessions.
• We will place price-tags on items in the home and garage.
• We will create several appealing online ads to attract buyers.
• We will advertise heavily online and to our vast network of connections.
• We will place “Estate Sale Signs” at all intersections near the property.
• We handle all in-coming phone calls and emails.
• We provide expert sales staff on sale days.
• We provide security for your belongings on sale days.
• We conduct a 1, 2 or 3-day sale depending upon the size of the estate.
• We will control access in and around home during the sale.
• We accept most major credit cards and personal checks up to $100 with a proper ID and drawn on a local bank. We collect a 3.0% service charge on all credit card sales.
• We collect Florida Sales Tax on all sales unless buyer has a Florida Sales Tax exemption certificate.
• Transparency, you will receive a sales accounting report within ten (10) business days after the completion of the sale.
• We customize our services to meet your needs.
• Remember, our services cost you nothing up front. We pay for all advertising, administrative, sales and security staff, and everything else needed. We are not paid until the sale is finalized.
• Lastly, after the sale, the home will be returned to you with all trash removed and floors swept or vacuumed. Any unsold items will be either sold to a third party close out buyer or removed and donated or disposed of per your request.

Suggestions:

• Don’t throw anything out!! Sometimes those old magazines or old toys can be valuable collectibles. Let us determine what has value and what can be donated and/or thrown away.
• Unless you really want to, don’t give anything away. That old chair that the neighbor says they would truly love to have just might have some serious value.
• Specific items may be offered for sale in a more profitable market or venue. Please allow us to decide which avenue is best to maximize sale proceeds and money to you.
• Just because something isn’t antique, or vintage doesn’t mean it doesn’t have real value.
• An old looking oil painting that your mother had in the attic forever just maybe worth thousands of dollars.
• It necessary, obtain all keys form family, neighbors and/or friends so access to your home is limited.

THE WOW FACTOR

Estate Sale “Wow Factor” . . . If your Sale Has It, Please Don’t Get Rid Of It!!
When you have 100’s of $5.00 items and 100’s of $10.00 items and you combine them with some highly collectible or highly valuable items like cars, jewelry, art works, and antiques in an estate sale combined with large crowds, 90 to 95% of the contents of the estate will sell and this means MONEY in your pocket, and all while getting the place cleared out.

It is those nicer more expensive items that help sell all those little items so don’t sell a select few valuable items on your own. The money you might make selling these items will not make up for the money you lose because your estate sale is picked over already. Your sale will suffer from having a poor turn out because the stuff for sale is just that, “STUFF”.

We don’t just sell junk. We sell the items people want and the junk sells along with it. If you don’t’ have items people want, then you are left with just junk!! Remember this and save the good stuff to sell with all the small things. You will be totally amazed at how many people will show up to the sale and how much more money you will make.

It’s important to have big ticket items that help draw crowds and present a “Wow Factor” to the sale. If you sell off the better items on your own, this will potentially prevent you from obtaining the value of all the little items.

We have witnessed both scenarios. In one estate sale we saw (not ours), the house had thousands of small items (kitchen items, hand tools, clothes and shoes, towels and sheets, etc.) and no “Wow Factor”. The attendance was very small and at the end of the sale, they had well over 50% of their items remaining. And they made little money.

We witnessed another sale (again not ours) where they had several nice “Wow Factor” items (several antiques, several nice art works, some valuable jewelry as well as a lot of costume jewelry, and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle). On Saturday morning at 9:00a.m. when they opened their doors, they had over 200 people waiting in line to get in. At the close of the sale Sunday afternoon, they had less than 5% of their items remaining and they made a great deal of MONEY.

So if you have a “WOW FACTOR” don’t lose it.
