My name is Spencer Sanders and my wife Whitney and I run Dothan Estate Sales and Dothan Thrift Store, in Dothan. We have a permanent staff as well as our children that help out from time to time. We strive to ensure each client and customer to be satisfied with our services and the jobs we perform. We try to make each Sale a "Destination" and not just an ordinary sale. Dothan Estate Sales operates in all areas of the Wiregrass. We generate more views and exposure for your sale, than any of the rest. We incorporate technology and many different platforms to ensure we are getting the most out of your valued furnishings and collectibles.
We use Point of Sale Systems for accurate tracking of sales and reporting to our customers.
We operate out of an actual business, instead of a Garage or Home type business.
We utilize Youtube and Facebook and have the Largest Social Media Following of any other company for 100s of miles.
We are the only Liquidators to offer a One-Stop-Shop Service. From Lawn care, Liquidation, and Real Estate; we can handle your entire property if needed.
We also Sell more than the Rest. We empty home and Sale 90-95% of all we have to sell.
Things To Look out for when hiring an estate liquidator. While some business practices are obvious, some you may not be aware of due to the nature of this business.
Be sure your liquidator accepts CASH and CARDS . We have found that overall sells are 30-35% higher when multiple forms of payment are offered. Many people make spontaneous purchases when they see a sign, but may not have the amount of cash they need. Cash only companies also tend only keep Hand Written documentation and do not have a professional method of accountability and tracking of sells.
Be sure you liquidator is electronically recording sells and calculations . Humans make errors and some may be be accident and some may be on purpose. Without a up-to-date method of keeping up with sale data, who is to know when an error or miscalculation may occur.
Be sure your liquidator does not opt out of responsibility for Accidents . It can be posted as many places as they wish, but the bottom line; they and possibly you will be held responsible. Posted or not. Be sure to hire only insured liquidators.
Be aware of online presence. Can your liquidator prove their turnout and numbers? This type of data can be easily shared if they have an online presence. How much are they spending in online ads for you, their business? Newspapers are excellent but they miss a large following of younger buyers.
Does your liquidator collect taxes on top of their selling price or is it included ? If they are not adding tax to the selling price, you could be losing money once the final numbers are calculated. Not knowing to ask this, may cost you in the end.
