The Sale Has Officially Been Postponed Exactly One Week
Please SHARE!! Thank you!
NEW DATES ARE....
Thurs, SEPT 8 - Sun SEPT 11, 2016
Please SHARE!! Thank you!
Based on potential flooding on the property due to heavy rains on the original dates which were Sept 1-4, we have decided to officially postpone the sale exactly one week and hold it on September 8-11 instead.
The entire property here has the potential to flood, and would have been highly impractical for people to shop in the containers, not to mention the potential winds and rain. Even if the wind is not an issue, the heavy rains would have been.
So we are putting out this update in each of our online ads today (Friday, August 26) letting everyone know that we'll be postponing the estate sale until Sept 8-11.
We sincerely apologize if this disrupted anyone's plans, but we felt that overall, it was in the best interest of everyone. We also wanted to make a timely decision today, in order to give everyone ample time to change their schedules, as some people are asking time off work, etc. We want to be as understanding as possible, and hope that you will be too. Thank you!
Not everyone who originally saw this ad, will look back at this ad again, so if you see this, then please share this info with anyone you know who is planning to attend. Thank you!

The family gave us permission to add some details about their father. We've added pictures of a paper they compiled of memories of their dad. It's very interesting! He was quite an accomplished self-made man who was very skilled. (If the pictures of the paper do not open on your desktop computer for some reason, try looking at them on your cell phone where they can be enlarged and zoomed in on)
Some side notes about the sale:
PARKING: There will not be any parking inside the property since it can get very wet, soft and muddy when and if it rains. Our staff will be the only ones allowed to park in the yard, unless you're pulling in to temporarily pick something up that you've bought. Once the address is posted on Sunday September 4th, then we would advise to look on Google Maps to see where the best place is for you to park your vehicle, depending on it's size. The property is on a corner, so there are streets on both sides. There is a small ditch that goes around the property, so there will only be one access point at the main driveway, as far as walking into and out of the property. If you choose to park along the side of the road where the ditch is, you should have no problem probably, because there seems to be ample room between the edge of the street and the actual ditch. There is a large building directly across the street from the house, but we would advise that you do not park in their lot as they have large trucks pulling in and out of there all day long. You might possibly be able to use it to turn around, but not to park in. Again, use Google Maps (once we post the address on Sunday, September 4th) and try to spot a place where you can easily park your vehicle.
RAIN: It's that time of year in Florida, so if it does rain the day before, or even the morning of, it would be advisable to wear some kind of boots or shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. We've been using large yellow rubber boots to walk around when parts of the property are under water. That was when we had all that large amount of rain a week or two ago. If it only rains a little, then the yard will most likely just be a little muddy, not a huge issue. We'll be spreading hay around parts of the yard, to help combat any mud, in case it does rain a little. 95% of the yard right now is fine and dry. Plenty of nice grass everywhere, so don't worry too much :-) It's going to be a fun event, regardless!!!
CONTROL: We always hope everyone will be polite, and we do our best to also be polite as well, but we realize sometimes with large crowds, things can get out of hand with some people. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will be on-site each day, so we expect to have a peaceful event, in spite of the large crowds. We have a VW van/camper for sale, so hopefully the peace, love and hippy happiness will rub off on everyone! :-)
HEAVY or BULKY ITEMS: Usually we are glad to help you with these kind of things, but even with extra staff on-site for this sale, we expect to all be quite busy. So we ask that if you plan on buying anything like this, that you bring your own help please. Thank you!
BATHROOM FACILITIES: We're having 2 porta-potties delivered (with hand-sanitizer included inside) so that there's bathroom facilities. The house only has one bathroom that unfortunately cannot be used.
SHIPPING/CARGO CONTAINERS: If you plan on buying one or more of the shipping containers (or you just happen to buy one on a whim that day:) then here's a couple of local hauling companies who specialize in moving shipping/cargo containers. We reached out to them and had them come to the property to see the containers, and they gave us some price quotes for what they charge to move them. Feel free to contact them if you have any questions. They've given us permission to post their information.
