This auction lot is for a pset of Tom Wolfe Carved Dogs. These beautiful dogs are models of those hand-carved by the noted North Carolina artist Tom Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe currently resides in Spruce Pine, NC and teaches classes several times a year at his workshop on Grandfather Mountain, as well as at the John C. Campbell School in Brasstown NC. He has written several books about hand carving - his most recent features dogs much like these. These dog are molded cast resin. The tail up dog measures about 5-inches long, the sitting dog measures about 5-inches tall and the third measure similarly. They appear to be in good shape with no visible cracks or chips. - however, the standing dog has the tip of its tail missing. The dogs are each actually and authentically signed on the bottom by Tom Wolfe.

    DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS: All descriptions and information are believed correct, but are not guaranteed as such by Renaissance by Design, LLC, its auctioneer and/or the Seller and they shall not be held liable for inaccuracies in the information. It is always the Bidders responsibility to verify - prior to bidding, any information deemed critical to their decision to purchase. Preview opportunities are announced and available for potential bidders to physically inspect the items. Bidders are encouraged to inspect and research items in which they have interest to their full satisfaction prior to bidding. All items in this auction are being sold “as-is” and “where-is” with no guarantees or warranties of any kind including merchantability and/or fitness for any particular or special purpose. All sales are final.

    BIDDING: Online bidding is to be considered a binding contract. Bids are taken with the general understanding that the bidder will honor their winning bid along with all applicable taxes and fees. Do not bid if you do not intend to pay.     CLOSE OF BIDDING: The bidding will begin to close at 6PM (Eastern Time Zone), Tuesday January 18, 2022. The closing of some items may be extended in the event of last minute bidding.

    EXTENDED BIDDING: All items in the auction will be subject to an extended ending, where at the close of the auction, any bidding activity on an item within 1 minute of the closing time will automatically extend the bidding for 5 more minutes past the time of the last bid. The bidding on that lot will continue to remain open in 5 minute intervals as long as there is bidding activity within 5 minutes of the previous bid. Once there is no bidding activity within the 5 minute period, the bidding on that item will close. For example, if a lot is supposed to close at 7:00 PM but a last minute bid is placed at 6:59PM, bidding will be extended until 7:05 PM. If another bid is placed on an item at 7:01 PM, bidding will then close at 7:06 PM, unless subsequent bids are placed.

    PENALTIES: Any fraudulent bidding, illegal activity and/or negligence to provide proper payment in the allotted time will result in recourse to appropriate legal action and forfeiture of the rights to any of the auction items. Winning bidders who do not successfully complete the sale with timely pickup and full payment will be barred from all future sales conducted by our company and will be given an unsatisfactory review with Auction Zip.Com/Invaluable and estatesales.org.     AUCTIONEER'S RIGHT TO BID: In accordance with KRS330.220(6)(a), it is hereby disclosed that, with permission from the sellers, the auctioneer and staff members reserve the right to bid.

    BUYER'S PREMIUM: A customary 10% buyer’s premium will be added to the winning bid of each item to determine the final selling price.

    SALES TAX: Kentucky Sales Tax of 6% will be collected on all sales unless you have an exemption certificate on file with us or we are shipping out of state.

    PAYMENT: All items must be paid for in full prior to taking them from our premises or to be shipped and no later than 24 hours of the auction closing date. If you are outside the local pick-up area, the card you have on file will automatically be charged for your winning bids per Stripe (estatesales.org credit card processor) within 24 hours.     Local payments may be made by cash, good local personal check, local Official Bank Check, local Bank Certified Check or with credit or debit cards for purchases over $15.00.

    ITEMS NEEDING TO BE SHIPPED WILL RECEIVE A SEPARATE INVOICE FOR SHIPPING ONLY. Shipping charges must be paid by using a credit card or debit card that is called in to us. All items must be removed or be able to be shipped within one week of the closing of the sale, or it will be considered abandoned – unless other arrangements have been made.     SHIPPING: Most items in this sale are available for shipping and noted if NOT. We prefer to use the USPS Priority Mail or Flat Rate Box/Quick Ship System - if the item you want shipped fits into one of the USPS boxes and you live in the contiguous 48 states. This system includes tracking and insurance up to $50.00. If the item is over $50.00 we will add the required insurance to protect your item and add it to your invoice. Please be aware that in addition to the actual Priority Rate or Flat Rate Box System shipping cost there is a minimal packing fee, depending on what is being shipped. We will do our best to find the least expensive way to ship. Realize that with any labor related costs, it is not unusual for shipping to cost more than the item - many times much more. Consider as you are bidding the actual value you will receive when you get an item at a really good price, that even with shipping, you won a treasure at a good value.

    However, if you really want to bid on an item and would need that item shipped by another means, we may be able to assist. Please contact our office to discuss shipping possibilities. We will coordinate with you prior to shipping to determine costs. Shipping costs – including packing fees, will be charged to your credit card before shipping occurs. We require shipped items to be insured, but you can opt out.     DAMAGED GOODS: If an item is damaged, please contact us ASAP. We will need photos of the damaged goods to begin the USPS claim. Text photos to: Kelli at 502-500-7760, so she can start the claim. You will then need to take them to your local post office for verification and surrender the items. Be sure to get a receipt for the items, send us a copy and keep the original for your records. The claim can only be the dollar amount of what you paid per item. If there are multiple items in the same box but only one broke - you only get paid for the one. So if you won a set of 5 perfume bottles for $5.00, your claim could only be for $1.00. It doesn't matter if you were lucky and napped a Lalique Perfume Bottle in the lot, with an actually worth of $50.00, you will still only recover $1.00 from the USPS. Shipping fees and charges are nonrefundable.

REGISTRATION TO BID: Registration for our on-line auction is through the estatesale.org site. It is free but does require several important pieces of information. Bidders must be registered with a full name, address, and telephone number and a valid credit card. An email address is also required so that bidders may be sent winning bid notifications and auction invoices. Registration may only be completed with an acknowledgment that the bidder has read and understood all terms and conditions for the sale and online bidding. You are responsible to read the PAYMENT and SHIPPING information in this section BEFORE YOU BID. If shipping is required, credit card information must be called into MLS after receiving the Shipping Invoice. If you choose to refuse to pay shipping, it is understood you are still required to pay for the item(s) you won.

Renaissance by Design LLC, its Auctioneer, Sellers, and the Internet and Software Providers do not guarantee or warrant the online bidding procedure and/or system to operate without interruption or malfunction, and shall not be held responsible in the event of such.

DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS: All descriptions and information are believed correct, but are not guaranteed as such by Renaissance by Design, LLC, its auctioneer and/or the Seller and they shall not be held liable for inaccuracies in the information. It is always the Bidders responsibility to verify - prior to bidding, any information deemed critical to their decision to purchase. Preview opportunities are announced and available for potential bidders to physically inspect the items. Bidders are encouraged to inspect and research items in which they have interest to their full satisfaction prior to bidding. All items in this auction are being sold “as-is” and “where-is” with no guarantees or warranties of any kind including merchantability and/or fitness for any particular or special purpose. All sales are final.

BIDDING: Online bidding is to be considered a binding contract. Bids are taken with the general understanding that the bidder will honor their winning bid along with all applicable taxes and fees. Do not bid if you do not intend to pay. You will be automatically emailed if you are outbid and are welcome to enter a max bid (site will bid automatically for you only when another bid surpasses yours until your max bid is reached). Check back often and check your email for outbid notices. Notification of winning bids will be sent via email along with an auction invoice within 24 hours of the auction’s close. Check your "spam" email folder if you do not receive your invoice within that time frame. Note: Auction invoices will be automatically charged to your card on file if you are located outside the local pick-up area. Shipping will not be included and will be billed separately. If shipping is required, credit card information must be called into MLS after receiving the Shipping Invoice or paid with your PayPal account to Kelli@renaissancebydesign.com.  If you choose to refuse to pay shipping, it is understood you are still required to pay for the item you won. If you make no other arrangements for shipping or pick up within one week of close of auction – items will be considered abandoned and become property of MLS Estate Sales. Local pick-up can pay on location and pick up by appointment. See payment information.

CLOSE OF BIDDING: The bidding will begin to close at 6PM (Eastern Time Zone), Tuesday January 18, 2022. The closing of some items may be extended in the event of last minute bidding.

EXTENDED BIDDING: All items in the auction will be subject to an extended ending, where at the close of the auction, any bidding activity on an item within 1 minute of the closing time will automatically extend the bidding for 5 more minutes past the time of the last bid. The bidding on that lot will continue to remain open in 5 minute intervals as long as there is bidding activity within 5 minutes of the previous bid. Once there is no bidding activity within the 5 minute period, the bidding on that item will close. For example, if a lot is supposed to close at 7:00 PM but a last minute bid is placed at 6:59PM, bidding will be extended until 7:05 PM. If another bid is placed on an item at 7:01 PM, bidding will then close at 7:06 PM, unless subsequent bids are placed.

PENALTIES: Any fraudulent bidding, illegal activity and/or negligence to provide proper payment in the allotted time will result in recourse to appropriate legal action and forfeiture of the rights to any of the auction items. Winning bidders who do not successfully complete the sale with timely pickup and full payment will be barred from all future sales conducted by our company and will be given an unsatisfactory review with Auction Zip.Com/Invaluable and estatesales.org. This is meant to warn other auction houses you do not fulfill your contractual obligations.

AUCTIONEER'S RIGHT TO BID: In accordance with KRS330.220(6)(a), it is hereby disclosed that, with permission from the sellers, the auctioneer and staff members reserve the right to bid.

BUYER'S PREMIUM: A customary 10% buyer’s premium will be added to the winning bid of each item to determine the final selling price.

SALES TAX: Kentucky Sales Tax of 6% will be collected on all sales unless you have an exemption certificate on file with us or we are shipping out of state.

PAYMENT: All items must be paid for in full prior to taking them from our premises or to be shipped and no later than 24 hours of the auction closing date. If you are outside the local pick-up area, the card you have on file will automatically be charged for your winning bids per Stripe (estatesales.org credit card processor) within 24 hours. Note: It could take up to 7 days for charges to clear for first time users.

Local payments may be made by cash, good local personal check, local Official Bank Check, local Bank Certified Check or with credit or debit cards for purchases over $15.00.

ITEMS NEEDING TO BE SHIPPED WILL RECEIVE A SEPARATE INVOICE FOR SHIPPING ONLY. Shipping charges must be paid by using a credit card or debit card that is called in to us. We have been in business over 30 years and have never had any issue doing business this way. If you have any concerns or questions please call Kelli at 502-500-7760. Remember shipping will not be included in the original bill, but will be billed separately. If shipping is required, credit card information must be called into MLS's Auction Manager - Kelli 502-500-7760 after receiving the Shipping Costs Invoice or you are welcome to pay with your PayPal to our account - Kelli@renaissancebydesign.com.  We will e-mail you a shipping invoice as soon as your items can be boxed and weighed. Please give us a few days to get this accomplished. If you choose to refuse to pay shipping, it is understood you are still required to pay for the item(s) you won. If you make no other arrangements for shipping or pick up within one week of close of auction – items will be considered abandoned and become property of MLS Estate Sales. We work very hard to keep shipping costs as low and safe as possible.

PICKUP INFORMATION AND SCHEDULE: Local purchases must be picked up at 544 Baxter Avenue - Louisville, KY 40204 - FRIDAY & SATURDAY  ONLY - JANUARY 21 & 22 - NOON - 4 pm or BY APPOINTMENT. All items must be removed or be able to be shipped within one week of the closing of the sale, or it will be considered abandoned – unless other arrangements have been made. We will work with you as long as you communicate with us in a timely fashion. PLEASE bring necessary boxes and protective wrap in which to transport your purchases safely to your destination.

WON ITEMS TO BE SHIPPED: Upon winning the bid, please provide us with a telephone number, e-mail address and full mailing address within 24 hours so we can begin our shipping process. Lack of communication may result in us believing the bid is abandoned and bar you from future sales. If we don't have an email address, we won't know how to correctly invoice you with shipping costs. Please go back into your profile and add your address and phone number if you have not done so. We will E-MAIL you a Shipping Invoice with shipping charges and payment instructions. You must fulfill your payment obligations within one week of the auction closing to prevent losing the ability to bid in our auctions, unless prior arrangements are made.

SHIPPING: Most items in this sale are available for shipping and noted if NOT. We prefer to use the USPS Priority Mail or Flat Rate Box/Quick Ship System - if the item you want shipped fits into one of the USPS boxes and you live in the contiguous 48 states. This system includes tracking and insurance up to $50.00. If the item is over $50.00 we will add the required insurance to protect your item and add it to your invoice. Please be aware that in addition to the actual Priority Rate or Flat Rate Box System shipping cost there is a minimal packing fee, depending on what is being shipped. We will do our best to find the least expensive way to ship. Realize that with any labor related costs, it is not unusual for shipping to cost more than the item - many times much more. Consider as you are bidding the actual value you will receive when you get an item at a really good price, that even with shipping, you won a treasure at a good value.

However, if you really want to bid on an item and would need that item shipped by another means, we may be able to assist. Please contact our office to discuss shipping possibilities. We will coordinate with you prior to shipping to determine costs. Shipping costs – including packing fees, will be charged to your credit card before shipping occurs. We require shipped items to be insured, but you can opt out. If you choose to save those costs, we require signatured written confirmation of your understanding there will be no guarantees of any kind with that shipment other than we will do our best to get it to you safely.

Please provide a telephone number, e-mail address and mailing address for your credit card for verification and protection. We will call you within 48 hours to get your credit card information. Do NOT e-mail us your card number. Once payment has cleared in full and all shipping information is verified, shipments will leave our premises within 48 hours during regular business days, unless otherwise noted on your invoice. We will maintain all the tracking information in the unlikely event you need it. Note: It sometimes takes up to 7 days for credit cards to clear for first time users of our credit card system.

DAMAGED GOODS: If an item is damaged, please contact us ASAP. We will need photos of the damaged goods to begin the USPS claim. Text photos to: Kelli at 502-500-7760, so she can start the claim. You will then need to take them to your local post office for verification and surrender the items. Be sure to get a receipt for the items, send us a copy and keep the original for your records. The claim can only be the dollar amount of what you paid per item. If there are multiple items in the same box but only one broke - you only get paid for the one. So if you won a set of 5 perfume bottles for $5.00, your claim could only be for $1.00. It doesn't matter if you were lucky and napped a Lalique Perfume Bottle in the lot, with an actually worth of $50.00, you will still only recover $1.00 from the USPS. Shipping fees and charges are nonrefundable.

  2. Under For Sale, click on the Garage Sale category.
  3. Click on the Post link in the upper right corner of the page.
  4. Choose the Garage Sale category and then select your area. Craigslist doesn't have an Estate Sale category and this is the closest match.
  5. Add the title of your sale and the location.
  6. Add your email address and keep it anonymous to prevent spam.
  7. Copy & Paste the html code below into the Posting Description text box.
  8. Click Continue to add photos and publish your sale. You will receive a confirmation email from Craigslist to verify the sale. Activate your sale by clicking the link in your email and your done!
  9. Craigslist allows you to re-post your ad every 48 hours. Re-post any sooner and your ad may be subject to removal.
