Terms and Conditions: Please take the time to read the following set of terms and conditions for the auction. By placing a bid, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
BIDDER RESPONSIBILITIES Bidder is responsible for any and all activity, bids, and purchases involving Bidders account. Once a bid has been placed, it cannot be lowered or deleted. Bidder agrees to keep its username and password confidential.
CONDITIONS Castle Books and Tea, LLC has endeavored to accurately describe the items being sold, but all property offered for sale is strictly "as - is" "where - is" with all faults. All sales are final and no refunds are given. The sales records and recordings shall be conclusive. It is the bidders responsibility to determine the exact condition/authenticity of each item. No statement in this catalogue or by representatives of Castle Books and Tea, LLC shall be considered as a warranty or assumption of liability. If an item comes with third party authentication or certification, any disputes must be taken up with the authenticator that issued the opinion. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear or imperfections. High resolution images are provided to assist a bidder in making an additional assessment of condition. By bidding, you signify that you have either closely examined the items, have chosen not to examine them, or have hired an independent agent to examine the item(s) for you. Castle Book and Tea, LLC will endeavor to answer or expound on any questions asked about any lot before hand with all available information as accurately as they can provide.
BUYERS PREMIUM There is a 15% buyers premium.
PAYMENT Payments may be made with Card via Square or through PayPal. A CT Sales tax (6.35%) will be collected from all customers. Payments not received within 4 days of winning will be considered a forfeit or items. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay promptly or to reach out to Castle Books and Tea within that 4 day period if more time is required.
AUCTIONEER Castle Books and Tea always reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time for any reason and to default any sale in the event of an error or dispute.
BIDDING All bidding is done via EstateSales.org. We cannot place or alter a bid for you.
STORAGE We have limited ability to store items. Unless arrangements are made immediately after bidding to extend the pick up day for the bidder all items are expected to be picked up at the appropriate time. Castle Books and Tea, LLC reserves the right to charge a storage fee of $35 per week if pick-up is to take place more than two weeks after the initial set time.
ABANDONED PROPERTY Unless prior arrangements have been made, any lot(s) not picked up at the stated pickup time and location will be considered abandoned and no refunds given. Castle Books and Tea, LLC is not obligated to notify the winning bidder of the abandoned lot(s).
SHIPPING & PICK UP We ship as many items as possible. Our default shipping method is through USPS as media mail. We will ship items out one week after the close of the auction to anyone who has selected that option. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay for shipping and a charge may be added automatically where possible. Charges will be no less than $9.50 and will not exceed $50. The exact amount depends on the size of lot, shipping costs, and handling time and will be determined at the discretion of Castle Books and Tea, LLC. It is our goal to charge you the least amount possible for your won items.
Buyer is responsible for all VAT taxes, customs fees, or any other fees or taxes related to international or domestic purchases.
It is the buyer's responsibility to pick up all won items on the day and time stated in the auction or to reach out to Castle Books and Tea, LLC to arrange a separate appointment to pick up the items. All items not picked up or arranged to be picked up by the dates and times stated will be considered forfeit and no refund will be given to the bidder.
