PREVIEW DATE: You may come by the home to PREVIEW ITEMS on Saturday Feb 2nd from 9am to 3pm. ONLINE SALE DATES: Bidding starts at 12:00 pm EST Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019. Lots will close every minute starting with Lot 1 at 12:00pm on Friday, Feb. 8th 2018. Individual closing will be extended 5 minutes when a new bid comes in within 5 minutes of lot closing. Bidding is predicted to end early evening on Friday Feb 8th. A notice will be sent to the high bidder once bidding ends.
PICK UP: Local pick up only between 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, Feb 9th and 2:00 pm to 5:00pm on Sunday Feb 10th. You MUST communicate with us regarding payment and pick up/shipping plans. Please call 828-772-5959 or email michelle@downsizewnc.com with your plans. Some things are located in basement and will have to be brought up stairs. PLEASE BRING HELP FOR HEAVY ITEMS. WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ASSIST YOU. Display cases are in a basement and will need to be taken up a narrow flight of stairs. Not repsonsible for damage moving.
SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE ON SELECTED ITEMS FOR THIS AUCTION. PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
LOCATION: Pick up location is at residence in Royal Pines in S. Asheville, NC. Exact location of pick up will be on your invoice if you win any items.
PAYMENT INFO: You will receive an EMAIL with an attached invoice from us AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE ENTIRE AUCTION, not after the item was sold. This email will include payment instructions via PayPal and instructions for pick up. Paypal requires a secure sign in and accepts all credit card payments. Buyer will need an account on Paypal.com and will use our email address,michelle@downsizewnc.com, for payment on PayPal. We will also accept credit card or cash payment at pick up. We accept Visa, MC, Discover and American Express. A 3% credit card processing fee will be added. NO PERSONAL CHECKS PLEASE.
A customary 15% buyer premium will automatically be added to final bid price. This fee is charged by auctioneers to help offset the costs of holding the sale.
If you need to make other payment arrangements, you MUST call us to communicate prior to pick up date or your items will be forfeited. **All items must be paid for within 24 hours of sale ending (that means by Sunday Feb 10th at 5 pm) using PAYPAL or call us to communicate other payment preferences. No exceptions. NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS WILL BE ISSUED.
SHIPPING: We will drop off your items at the POSTAGE EXPRESS shipping store in CANDLER. You will pay them directly for shipping. They will pack and wrap everything. The cost is based on the dimensions of the package and how much bubble wrap is needed. You should call them at (828) 670-5501 OR email candler@postageexp.com to get an estimate of the cost BEFORE BIDDING. Sometimes shipping costs will exceed the final value of the item. If this is the case and you are not happy with the shipping costs you are still responsible for the amount bid and will be charged. If you plan to bid on an item and need it shipped please contact us and we will give you an ESTIMATE of the dimensions of the box or boxes required but are not shipping experts and offer this service for your convenience. We will need your name, address (physical address if you have a PO Box) and phone number.

Neither the auctioneer nor any consignor or staff member makes any warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the property, and in no event shall they be deemed to have made any representation or statement at the sale or elsewhere to mean otherwise. Due diligence to verify the condition and description of a lot is the sole responsibility of the Bidder prior to placing any bid. No Returns.
Art of Downsizing offers lot descriptions to the best of our knowledge presented solely for the convenience of the purchaser. Prospective bidders should investigate a lot thoroughly before bidding by reviewing all photos and descriptions and coming to preview prior to bidding. Pictures are considered part of the description. We do not accept liability for any omissions or mistakes in the description or photos. By bidding the Bidder acknowledges that Bidder has investigated the lot to his or her satisfaction or that Bidder has chosen not to do so, and agrees to accept the lot being bid on with no objections after the sale closes. Ownership of all online purchases not picked up during pick up times listed will be forfeited and you may lose your right to bid on items in our future sales. After 2 days, we will take the items to donation. You may call us if you have any problems picking up at 828-772-5959 BEFORE YOU BID, We cannot guarantee that alternative pick up times are avaialble, so please don't bid if you aren't sure you can pick up at designated time and place.
We will use reasonable efforts to carry out online bids and do not accept liability for equipment failure, inability to access the internet or software malfunctions related to the execution of online sale.
By bidding on any item in the sale, the bidder permits Art of Downsizing LLC to add them to their email mailing list. Bidder may freely opt out of mailings at any time by following the instructions in any mailing.
The auctioneer has the right at his or her absolute and sole discretion to refuse any bid, to withdraw any property before and during the sale, as well as reserve the right to group one or more lots into one or more selling lots, or to subdivide into two or more selling lots.
Payments Through PayPal using Credit or Debit Card PRIOR to pick up or shipping are strongly encouraged whenever possible.
Please bring help to load large items as our staff can not assist.
Silent bids on items may be made in writing during preview and considered in case of items with no bids during auction. Same terms and payment conditions apply.
Do Not Block Driveway when parking or loading merchandise please.
