Terms and Conditions
The lots listed in this catalog are from several client consignees and is being offered by Sterling Transitions Inc. as agent for consignor(s) subject to the following terms and conditions. By bidding at the auction you agree to be bound by these Conditions of Sale.
PREVIEW DATE: Friday, March 20, 2020 between 10am and 12:30pm in West Asheville. Call for an appointment time and address. 828-338-8448
ONLINE SALE DATES: Bidding starts at 6:00am Wednesday, March 18th. Lots will close every minute starting with Lot 1 at 5:00pm on Monday, March 23, 2020. Individual closing will be extended 5 minutes when a new bid comes in within 5 minutes of lot closing.
PICK UP: Pick up your winnings in West Asheville on March 24th from 11am to 2pm. Shipping available for ALL items via flat rate USPS boxes.
SHIPPING: Shipping is available within the Continental US through USPS on all items. If shipping, you must let us know your shipping address, phone and insurance request. You will receive an updated invoice within 24 hours of auction ending including shipping and will need to pay it within 24 hours of receipt or you will forfeit your winnings. We use USPS flat rate shipping and can add insurance if requested. Please go to USPS to see current rates. $50 standard insurance is included. We will fit your items in the smallest box possible and you will get tracking information once it is on it's way. For substantial winning we will request a signature for delivery.
Please note that a few large items such as the jewelry boxes will not fit in a flat rate box and will incur UPS shipping charges. Please call UPS for a shipping quote prior to bidding on those. 828-252-6930.
PAYMENT INFO: You will receive an EMAIL with an attached invoice from Sterling Transitions Inc AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION, not after the item was sold. This email will include payment instructions via PayPal and instructions for pick up and shipping. Paypal requires a secure sign in and accepts all credit card payments. Buyer will need an account on Paypal.com and will use our email address to make payment, info@sterlingtransitions.com, for payment on PayPal. or by typing in the following into your web browser. “https://www.paypal.me/SterlingTransitions†Call or Email us if you prefer a different payment method. If shipping, you will receive an updated invoice with shipping included within 24 hours of auction end. See above paragraph for Shipping terms. **All items being picked up will need to be paid before 2pm on March 24th. SOLD AS IS No Guarantee: Everything is sold “As-is, Where-is†without guarantees of any kind. No Exceptions! Neither the auctioneer nor any consignor or staff member makes any warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the property, and in no event shall they be deemed to have made any representation or statement at the sale or elsewhere to mean otherwise. Due diligence to verify the condition and description of a lot is the sole responsibility of the Bidder prior to placing any bid. No Returns.
Sterling Transitions Inc, offers lot descriptions to the best of its knowledge presented solely for the convenience of the Purchaser. Prospective bidders should investigate a lot thoroughly before bidding by reviewing all photos and descriptions and coming to preview prior to bidding. Sterling Transitions Inc. does not accept liability for any omissions or mistakes in the description or photos. A 15% Buyers Premium is added to all sold lots and is the responsibility of the buyer to pay. By bidding the Bidder acknowledges that Bidder has investigated the lot to his or her satisfaction or that Bidder has chosen not to do so, and agrees to accept the lot being bid on with no objections after the sale closes. If you are uncertain please contact us by email at info@sterlingtransitions.com with your questions PRIOR to bidding. If you are still uncertain after we reply, please refrain from bidding.
We understand that sometimes things happen, so we ask for communication on your part as soon possible to let us know if you need to change pick up or cancel your bid. If we do not hear from you or you do not pay for your goods by the end of the pick up time then we will be unable to allow you to bid in future auctions with us. We apologize for the strict policy but this puts us in an unnecessary bind and we just ask you to call or email us ASAP if plans have changed.
