    PREVIEW DATE: You may come by the home to preview items on July 10th from 1 pm to 8pm or by appointment (828) 772-5959. No early sales.

    ONLINE SALE DATES: Bidding starts at 12:00pm Tuesday, July 11, 2017. Lots will close every minute starting with Lot 1 at 12:00pm on July15, 2017. Individual closing will be extended 5 minutes when a new bid comes in within 5 minutes of lot closing.

    PICK UP: Between 3pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 15th OR 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, July 16th. Pick up location is at residence in E. Hendersonville, NC.  Exact location of pick up will be on your invoice if you win any items. You MUST communicate with us regarding payment and pick up/shipping plans.     SHIPPING: will be added to your invoice once the sale has ended based on USPS Priority Mail rates from zip 28739 or by special arrangement UPS or FedEx. Standard rate is based on your zip code and weight of item. No handling fee is charged.  

    LOCATION: All items are located in E. Hendersonville, NC. You will receive exact pick up location on your invoice after the auction ends.  

    PAYMENT INFO: You will receive an EMAIL with an attached invoice from us AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION, not after the item was sold. This email will include payment instructions via PayPal and instructions for pick up. Paypal requires a secure sign in and accepts all credit card payments. Buyer will need an account on Paypal.com and will use our email address,michelle@downsizewnc.com, for payment on PayPal. We will check IDs at pick up time. We accept Visa, MC, Discover and American Express. A 10% buyer premium is added to final bid price.

    Once an auction has ended, the items become the property of the winning bidder (buyer). Ownership of items not picked up during pick up times, or left un-paid for within 24hours of auction ending time will revert to the party with primary vested interest in the item to sell or dispose of item as it sees fit. Any funds paid shall be forfeited to satisfy terms of sale.

    If you need to make other payment arrangements, you MUST call us to communicate prior to pick up date or your items will be forfeited.  **All items must be paid for within 24hours of sale ending (that means Saturday July 16 at 12pm) using paypal or call us to communicate other payment preferences.  No exceptions.

Please note that Craigslist has stopped allowing external images as well as most html tags in their "for sale" listings. Your template will still have a full link to your sale and your sale photo gallery.

Preview your Craigslist template

  1. Go to Craigslist and find your city.
  2. Under For Sale, click on the Garage Sale category.
  3. Click on the Post link in the upper right corner of the page.
  4. Choose the Garage Sale category and then select your area. Craigslist doesn't have an Estate Sale category and this is the closest match.
  5. Add the title of your sale and the location.
  6. Add your email address and keep it anonymous to prevent spam.
  7. Copy & Paste the html code below into the Posting Description text box.
  8. Click Continue to add photos and publish your sale. You will receive a confirmation email from Craigslist to verify the sale. Activate your sale by clicking the link in your email and your done!
  9. Craigslist allows you to re-post your ad every 48 hours. Re-post any sooner and your ad may be subject to removal.
