Pick-Up is the Saturday following auction close. We also offer Friday pick0up but PLEASE READ our updated terms below.

Unfortunately, we have had to change our entire pick-up rules and procedures. We figured adding a weekday pick-up option would be appreciated, yet instead it has become a complete disaster in recent weeks. For some reason, folks are simply not following what we thought was the simplest directions ever. Just so no one is disappointed or caught off guard, this is how we will proceed going forward. Scheduling 100s of pick-ups makes for a busy weekend but this method will streamline everything.

Tax Exempt Dealers must have a MARYLAND SALES & TAX USE # and must spend at least $200 to be avoid tax. You MUST UPDATE YOUR PROFILE to include your Maryland Sales & Use number or you will have to pay the sales tax even as a dealer.
Soft close on all lots is in effect: Bidding timer resets when competing bid is placed near item close and keeps resetting until sold.
Internet traffic can occur with lots of bidding - PLACE YOUR HIGHEST BID EARLY to insure no mishaps during bidding. Your bid will only be auto increased when a competing bid is placed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR LOCAL PICK-UP BIDDERS:
We are the ONLY MARYLAND AUCTION we are aware of that has NO BUYERS PREMIUMS OR CREDIT CARD FEES added to your purchase. We are only able to do this since we DO NOT HAVE a physical auction facility or even a storage locker for little overhead. ALL our auctions are conducted on-site, therefore, STATED PICK-UP DAYS are the ONLY DAYS you can retrieve your auction merchandise. We will not store or transport items to a future sale since our entire staff now travels only on motorcycle to insure ample parking for our buyer's vehicles. Please do not ask Smitty, John or Shannan to haul your merchandise home - we love all our customers, but are unable. Any item not picked up for any reason (and we have heard them all) will be forfeited and no refunds will be made. A bid is a contract to both pay for AND pick-up your winnings. Again, we love ALL OUR CUSTOMERS but lately at each auction there are at least 10 pick-ups missed so we must make clear the situation to all. Any large items not picked up may incur haul off fees by our clean out company since this property must be turned over to the realtor Monday morning. Thanks!

Pick Up Date: For those buyers not wanting items shipped - Items must be picked up at the address stated in the "FINAL PICK-UP E-MAIL" sent at the conclusion of the auction. This will be THE ONLY TIME that the Auction Co. will be onsite at the home for Pickup. Items not picked up on stated date will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of at the discretion of the Smitty's. If you are unable to attend the Auction pick-up, you must designate a person to pick your items up for you and representative must bring copy of YOUR INVOICE. Many times, the home is "broom cleaned" the day after stated pick-up. This includes not only abandoned purchases, but any/all personal items left behind. PLEASE CHECK YOU HAVE all your purchases, cell phones, keys, sunglasses, ect BEFORE YOU LEAVE Pick-up.
Buyer is responsible for removing all items from the property. Buyer is responsible for bringing any required manpower required to move your items from the home to your vehicle. Any buyer Smitty's deems not prepared to safely move purchases safely or without damage to property may be refused. Buyer is responsible for bringing any tools, boxes, packing materials, wrapping paper, bubble wrap, blankets, straps, dollies needed to remove your items from the property. You will be responsible for any boxing that is required to move/load your items. You are responsible for ensuring that you have removed all of your items before leaving the pickup site PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR INVOICE BEFORE LEAVING.
