- Registration: Welcome to CTBIDS! If you are new to our site, you will need to register with valid payment information to place a bid. To register, click the Registration button in the menu bar at the top and type in all required information. Then you may sign in and bid. If you have any difficulty registering, logging in, or placing a bid, please contact the site administrator at CTBIDSHelp@caringtransitions.com or call 844-4BIDHELP (844-424-3435).
- Bidding: You must be signed into your account to place a bid. Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item if it is the high bid. Don't forget that you can place a maximum bid and the system will bid automatically and incrementally for you up to your maximum.
- Payment: In order to place a bid, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the purchase of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees.
- Pick-up: The full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders' invoices. You MUST bring all necessary help, packaging materials, tools, transportation, etc. for lifting, dismantling, and loading won items. Bring boxes and/or bags for carrying and transporting your items. We do NOT have extra boxes and bags for bidders to keep. Please be prepared with these items at pickup. Some items may be located on second floor, basement, or out-building. Staff is not authorized to assist with loading items at pick-ups. Please do not bid on things that you cannot pickup. We DO NOT leave items outside for pickup at a later time.
- Shipping: Shipping is available on SOME items (lot will be noted as shippable) only at buyer's request and expense (no furniture, rugs, or other large items). There is a $10 handling fee per lot. Please see our Shipping Terms for more details.
- Terms: All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. All sales are final. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase and a winning bid is a contract between you and the seller. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold with no refund. Non-payment of your invoice or non-attendance at the pick-up may result in bidder account suspension. An 18% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced. We have made every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
- High value items may be subject to a multitiered identification process at our discretion to prevent fraud. Caring Transitions Twin Cities Central reserves the right to retract winning bids if fraudulent activity is detected.
- Jewelry can only be weighed using personal scales prior to auction closing. Please email MNCentral@CaringTransitions.com to schedule a time to do so.
