  • Express Checkout: By having a credit card on file, you agree to the card maintenance terms outlined in bullet point 1 under Payment Info. You also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. Caring Transitions reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect amounts owed by charging other payment methods on file with us, and/or retain collection agencies and legal counsel. In addition, you may be subject to late fees and interest in Caring Transitions discretion which will not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law. A shipping or delivery invoice will be created, and charges will be discussed between you and the Seller; a shipping or delivery invoice must be paid before receiving items. If you do not elect a fulfillment method and do not pick the item(s) up during the scheduled pickup time outlined on our Terms and Conditions or your receipt, Caring Transitions reserves the right to charge your payment method on file for the greater of the total purchase price of the item plus any applicable handling and shipping charges or a $40.00 restocking fee and may ship the item to your address of record. You hereby expressly grant Caring Transitions the right to hold a winning item until confirmation of cleared funds has been received by Caring Transitions. Payment Information

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  1. Maintenance of Payment Information In order to place a bid, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the purchase of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees.
  2. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pick-up of your purchases on the pick-up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. If you win, you must pick up your item(s) or make shipping arrangements.
  3. If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold.
  4. Bring necessary tools and help for pick-up. Loading help is NOT available. Items may be located on a 2nd floor, basement or out building.
  5. Payment receipts are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed and your payment has been processed. In the event your payment cannot be fully processed, full payment must be received within 24 hours or your items will be resold and your bidding privileges will be revoked. Full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders invoices. If you do not receive a copy of your invoice via email, please log into your account on CTBids and visit Invoices/Receipts.
  6. All invoices under five thousand dollars ($5,000) will be auto charged to the primary card on file in your user profile for the total amount. Purchases of five thousand dollars ($5,000) or more will require an auto charge of 10% of whatever the invoice total is. Remaining payment for those invoices must be handled between you and the Seller.
  7. SHIPPING: Shipping is available at the buyer's expense including a $10 handling fee. Please see Shipping Terms for additional details. NOT ALL LOTS CAN BE SHIPPED - NO SHIPPING ON FURNITURE, RUGS, OR OTHER LARGE ITEMS.*No shipping offered within a 25-mile radius!
  8. All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped. Items to be shipped cannot be removed from the location without payment.
  9. A 23% Buyer's Premium and 7.25% Sales Tax will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
  10. We have made every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Electronics have been plugged in and turned on, but not tested. Dimensions given may be approximate.
  11. Bid Retraction: If you request a retraction of a bid, ALL of your bids will be retracted. We will NOT retract bids within 30 minutes of auction close.
  12. Questions: ALL questions about items including flaws, originality of artwork, quality of jewelry, etc. MUST be asked BEFORE bidding. If an item has been shipped to you and you have any questions or concerns, you MUST report this within two (2) days.
  13. If there are jewelry items in this sale, they have *not* been appraised by a professional jeweler unless otherwise noted. Please make your own judgments by reviewing the photos. These items are sold AS IS WHERE IS with no refunds or returns. Reminder: ALL questions about items including flaws, quality of jewelry, etc. MUST be asked BEFORE bidding. If an item has been shipped to you and you have any questions or concerns, you MUST report this within two (2) days.

Caring Transitions is taking the following steps to prevent fraud:

  • In the event of a payment failure or if an add-on invoice is needed, our team will reach out to you. After we contact you, you must respond for clarification within 12 hours or Caring Transitions reserves the right to consider your bid retracted and may move to the next buyer.
  • Purchases over $5,000 will be auto-charged 10% of the total invoice. To provide the remaining balance, a certified check is required at pick-up or must be received prior to shipment of the item. If value is over $900 for all lots, you will be required to provide a valid ID and take a photo with the lot(s) to prove pick-up.
  • For shipped lots, USPS signature confirmation is required for packages over $500.

Shipping Information

The full address for pick-up as well as a link to schedule a pick-up appointment time-slot will be on winning bidders' invoices. Please ONLY bid if you are able to attend the pick-up or if you have made arrangements with us to have your item(s) shipped.

SHIPPING:

  • Shipping is available on select items only at buyer's expense. NO SHIPPING ON FURNITURE, RUGS, OR OTHER LARGE ITEMS.*No shipping offered within a 25-mile radius! Customers who desire shipping must email rogorzolka@caringtransitions.com. A $10 handling fee will be charged by Caring Transitions to ship your items.
  • A $10 handling fee will be charged by Caring Transitions to deliver your items. You will receive a second invoice from CTBids for shipping and handling that you will need to approve. Please direct questions about packing and shipping estimates to: rogorzolka@caringtransitions.com.
  • Buyer will be responsible for paying all packing, shipping, and any desired insurance charges. Please be aware that shipping charges can be very expensive and may even exceed the amount that you paid for the item, so please take that into consideration when placing your bids. If shipping is not paid for, item(s) will be considered abandoned property and will be resold or donated with no refund provided.
  • Please make sure your address is updated in CTBids BEFORE placing a bid. Items will be shipped to the address that appears on your invoice for that auction. If you have not updated your address, Caring Transitions is not liable for items sent to the wrong address.
  • Once the items are dropped off at the post office, Caring Transitions of Apex and Cary is no longer responsible for the items while it is in other hands. If the item comes back to us we will work with you on how to get it back to you.
  • Make It Returnable and Delivery Guarantee: A Third Party Vendor, SEEL, provides MAKE IT RETURNABLE (Return Assurance) and GUARANTEED DELIVERY (Shipping Protection) services for select and eligible lots on CTBids. These services can be purchased by you during the bidding process or with your CTBids Premier Membership subscription. This purchase constitutes a direct service agreement between you and SEEL and not with any CTBids or Caring Transitions franchise.   5. Add the title of your sale and the location.
  6. Add your email address and keep it anonymous to prevent spam.
  7. Copy & Paste the html code below into the Posting Description text box.
  8. Click Continue to add photos and publish your sale. You will receive a confirmation email from Craigslist to verify the sale. Activate your sale by clicking the link in your email and your done!
  9. Craigslist allows you to re-post your ad every 48 hours. Re-post any sooner and your ad may be subject to removal.
