• Overview:
Sale Dates and Times are as follows:
Friday July 18th- 4 pm-7 pm
Saturday July 19th- 10 am - 3 pm
Sunday July 20th- 12 pm - 5 pm
This is an in person Estate Sale. A buyer’s premium of 15%, in addition to 6% Maryland sales tax, will be applied to your final invoice at the time of purchase . All items must be picked up at the designated location and within the times specified below.
• Agreement to Terms:
By participating in this sale, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions, signifying your agreement to abide by the rules of Flamingo Estate Sales Service:
• You are at least 18 years of age or older.
• You will fulfill your payment obligations for any winning bids and associated fees.
• You will not engage in fraudulent activities.
• If you are under the age of 21, you will not bid on items restricted to buyers 21 and older.

Compliance with Federal and State Laws
All firearm sales conducted as part of this estate sale shall comply with:
The Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. Chapter 44)
- Applicable Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regulations
- The Maryland Public Safety Code, Title 5 – Firearms
- Any local ordinances or regulations
No firearm shall be sold, transferred, or delivered in violation of federal, state, or local laws.
Types of Firearms Covered
This estate sale may include the following firearm categories:
Rifles
- Shotguns
- Handguns
- Curio and Relic (C&R) firearms, if applicable Transfer Process
All firearm sales must be processed through a Maryland-licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). The FFL will:
Conduct required background checks through the Maryland State Police (MSP) and the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS)
- Ensure a 7-day waiting period is observed for regulated firearms
- Confirm eligibility of the purchaser under both state and federal law
- Complete and retain all required documentation (e.g., ATF Form 4473)
No direct private sale or transfer will occur unless facilitated through an FFL.
Purchaser Eligibility
All firearm purchasers must:
- Be at least 18 years old for long guns; 21 years old for handguns
- Be a Maryland resident (for regulated firearms), or meet the conditions for out-of-state transfers
- Present valid, government-issued photo identification
- Not be prohibited from owning or possessing firearms under federal or Maryland law
Additional documentation may be required for regulated firearms, including a Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL).
Out-of-State Buyers
Buyers from outside Maryland may only purchase firearms in accordance with federal and Maryland laws, which generally require that:
- Handguns be shipped to an FFL in the buyer’s home state
- Long guns may be transferred in-state if the sale complies with the laws of both Maryland and the buyer’s home state
Shipping costs, FFL transfer fees, and compliance responsibilities fall on the buyer.
Condition and Representation of Firearms
All firearms are sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied
- The estate makes no guarantees regarding the functionality, safety, or condition of any firearm
- It is the buyer’s responsibility to have the firearm inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to use
Payment Terms
- Full payment must be received before any transfer process begins
- A non-refundable deposit may be required to hold firearms pending transfer
Firearm Storage and Pick-Up
- Firearms will remain in secured storage until transfer is completed by the FFL
- Once background check and waiting period are complete, buyers must pick up the firearm at the FFL location
- Firearms will not be released directly from the estate
Disqualification or Denial
If a buyer is denied by NICS or the Maryland State Police:
- The firearm will not be transferred
- Any deposits may be forfeited at the discretion of the estate
- The firearm will be re-listed or otherwise disposed of in accordance with law Indemnification
Buyers agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Estate, Executor/Personal Representative, and any agents involved in the sale from any claims, damages, or liability arising from the possession, use, or transfer of any firearm purchased.
Amendments and Severability
These terms and conditions may be amended by the Estate or its representatives at any time to ensure compliance with applicable laws. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
By purchasing a firearm through this estate sale, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions
• Sales Tax:
All sales are subject to Maryland Sales and Use Tax. Tax-exempt buyers must provide valid exemption certificates before the end of the auction. Once validated, purchases will be exempt from tax.
• Pick-Up:
Items must be picked up within the scheduled time frame. No exceptions. Most sales are bound by strict timelines for item removal. Please bring a printed invoice for faster service. Buyers are responsible for any damage caused during the removal of items and must provide their own labor and tools (e.g., dollies, boxes). Our staff will not assist with removal.
• Shipping:
For items marked “shipping available,” shipping services are provided by a local company. Shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility. Ensure your shipping address and contact information are current. Shipping charges will be processed through your credit card, and the shipping company will contact you directly for payment.
• Failure to Pick Up:
Failure to collect your items within the designated time does not relieve you of your financial obligations. Flamingo Estate Sales Service reserves the right to charge your card for the full amount, including any applicable taxes and fees. In such cases, we may, at our discretion, resell, dispose of, or donate uncollected items. Please be mindful there is no restroom on premises.
• Payment:
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Venmo ( Venmo payments in person only). A 3% processing fee applies. Upon completion of the auction, you will receive an invoice and have 24 hours to contact us with any payment method changes. After this period, the credit card on file will be charged.
• Previewing Items:
In-Person Sale, please look over the item you wish to purchase carefully, there are NO returns, exchanges, or refunds, all sales are final. Thank you.
• Indemnity and Liability:
By participating in this auction, you agree to indemnify and hold Flamingo Estate Sales Service, its employees, agents, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, or injuries arising from the purchase or removal of items. You assume full responsibility for any risks associated with these transactions.
