Imported English 8-Chair Dining Suite from Keddies Essex | Glass Top & Leaf
Beautiful vintage English dining suite dating to at least pre-1982. The original owners purchased this set from Keddies department store in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England, and later brought it with them to the United States.
This elegant Georgian/Hepplewhite-inspired dining set features an oval pedestal extension table with a rich reddish-brown figured wood finish, decorative banded inlay, and matching shield-back chairs with carved wheat-sheaf and lyre motifs. Based on its appearance, the wood is believed to be yew or mahogany, though the exact species is unconfirmed.
Includes:
Oval extension dining table
Original custom glass tabletop protector
One 20-inch leaf
Eight matching chairs total:
Six side chairs
Two armchairs
Dimensions:
64"L × 40"W × 28"H (without leaf)
