From the Metropolitan Collection by John Black is this absolutely stunning double pedestal banded walnut dining table with ten chairs by Councill Furniture. The "Autry" is a classic transitional style table with a traditional Regency feel. Features a stump walnut top with a quartered walnut border and edge band. The double pedestal base consists of stylized saber legs with toe caps and casters joined by a molded triangular plate. Table as shown extended with the two 24" leaves provides a total of 126" to accommodate the fabulous set of 10 Councill "Pamela" upholstered dining chairs. Chairs are as exceptional as the table. The oval back chairs are covered in an off-white woven cotton with double welting and nail head detail with a dark mahogany finish. Sturdy, comfortable and lightweight! Entire set is in excellent condition - was very lightly used over the years owned.
