Since 1971, Jonathan Edwards has released 15 albums, including Blue Ridge, his standard-setting collaboration with bluegrass favorites the Seldom Scene, and Little Hands. In the 70s Edwards opened for national acts, including the Allman Brothers Band and B. B. King.
Jonathan Edwards is a relative to Grammy Award winning Record producer, Keith Olsen, who is best know for his work with Fleetwood Mac, Ozzy Osbourne, the Grateful Dead, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, Heart, Santana, Saga, Journey, and many more legendary artists. Olsen owned Goodnight LA studios, where Edwards often made guitars for his studio.
From 1974-1979, Edwards was the sales director and one of the wood makers of the guitars for Travis Bean Guitars, followed by similar role at Schecter Guitars from 1979 into the mid 80s.

About Travis Bean Guitars
Travis Bean was one of the first guitar makers designing metal neck guitars and basses from 1974 to mid-1979. All Travis Beans were handmade in a warehouse in the San Fernando Valley. Bean or McElwee tested guitar and bass before it left the factory. Jerry Garcia has be the most significant musician to play the guitars. Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones played a Travis short scale bass. Other notable artists who played Travis Bean’s include: Joe Perry of AeroSmith, Keith Levene of Public Image Limited (P.I.L.), Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake and Palmer), Gary Shider of Funkadelic/Parliament, Roger Fisher of Heart, Teenie Hodges of the Al Green band, and Brian Robertson of Thin Lizzy.
Travis Bean began numbering with #10. At #1001, the Artist and the Standard each began its own numbering Production for early serial number models began at #10, however prototypes of certain designs have lower numbers and actual signatures etched in the neck by Bean himself, such as ITEM we have for sale below.
