How the Company got its start
After receiving a second Engineering and Management Degree, Glenda Marks decided that the corporate life did not align with her giving nature. She attended Mendenhall Auction School in High Point, NC in 1981. Real Estate was added in 1983. She has auctioned in NC, SC, VA, WI, However, the beginning of her love of auctions started long ago.
As a child growing up in a small town in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Glenda’s Mother would take her to outdoor country auctions on Saturday. It was a grand time to be greeted by the friendly auctioneer, pack a simple lunch, bid on a few items, and share the day with family.
Those “old timey” auctioneers made quite an impression on Glenda and she decided to pass that same feeling on to the client by providing flexibility, comfort, time, and the best professional service possible.
Glenda's first major was art and her first love was antiques. She has bought and sold art and antiques since 1980.
