Great Expectations Estate Sales & Appraisals is a full service company that offers professional estate sales and liquidation services, as well as personal property and business asset appraisals throughout the Richmond, Va area and beyond. We can assist you in selling, valuing or inventorying your personal property, which includes furniture, antiques, collectibles, appliances, jewelry, vehicles, art, books, and general residential contents. Along with assisting you in determining the value of your business assets

My experience as an auction administrator, researcher and appraiser since 1999 qualifies her to conduct effective appraisals on personal property, business assets and as an estate sale professional. I worked with a local auction house from 1999 until 2007 and local estate sales companies.
My job requirements were to research items to determine the identity, age and current value in the Richmond, Virginia market as well as the current value in other areas to determine the best market to sell and best way to advertise these items for sale and auction.
I have been conducting appraisals since 2000 for the purposes of Fair Market Value, Insurance Replacement Value, and Auction Liquidation Value among many other reasons and purposes. I have conducted them for the following reasons: Divorce, Moving, Probate, Estate Liquidation, Estate Collections, Donations, Refinance, Sale of Business Assets and more. My clients have included: Universities, Individuals, Non-Profit Organizations and Businesses. I have conducted appraisals for Individuals, Lawyers, Real Estate Management Firms and Banks. I have traveled all over the United States conducting Inventory and Appraisals for Banks and Finance Companies. In the course of my appraisal career I have appraised many Military Items, Fine Art, Furniture (Contemporary & Antique), Art Pottery, Antique Engravings, Coins & Firearms, Construction Equipment, Farm Equipment, Restaurant Equipment, Printing Equipment, Cabinet Making Equipment, Retail Locations and Plant & Machinery Equipment. I have an extensive knowledge database to conduct the research needed to arrive at the estimated values needed for every type of appraisal.
In addition, I have attended and successfully completed the classes in order to comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) 101 and 201, Plant and Machinery Equipment Appraisals. I update my education on a regular basis and continue to take classes to stay current.
