When a parent dies and leaves the contents of a home, it can be an overwhelming job, both physically and emotionally, to go through everything and prepare it for a sale. We had Sarah Jeffers help us, both when my mother passed and then about a year later, when my mother in law died. Sarah is incredibly hard working, as well as honest. There was an important and valuable sterling silver family heirloom which I wasn’t able to locate among my mother’s things. Sarah asked me if there was anything I was looking for that I couldn’t find and I told her about the heirloom piece. She was able to keep an eye out for it while sorting everything prior to the sale. She found it, inexplicably stored in a box marked "Glassware", where it didn’t belong, and returned it to us.Laura R, Bucks County
Sarah also took it upon herself to save a thirty year old letter which she had found, buried at the bottom of a closet, with my husband’s name on it, thinking that it may be important. When she returned it to my husband, he found that it was a meaningful letter from a former employer. Little gestures like that, and the attention to detail while handling the contents of a person’s childhood home are much appreciated.
I highly recommend Sarah Jeffers. She has integrity and she made the process of selling the contents of a loved one’s estate pleasant and easy. She is a pleasure to work with and we felt that she was a huge help to our families during the most difficult and emotional times.
I contacted Jeffers Estate Sales when I needed to sell the contents of a house fast. Sarah sat down with me and explained the whole process and the cost. I was able to retrieve items I had forgotten about that I didn't want to sell up to a few days before the sale. She sorted all of the household contents into coherent categories and investigated some items that seemed valuable in order to price them fairly. I stopped in a few times during the sale and saw how professionally she managed the customers. I even witnessed her husband move a large, heavy piece of furniture down a flight of stairs for a customer, armed only with a dolly — I've never seen professional movers do that as skillfully. Sarah was able to find takers for some things that wouldn't sell, and disposed of the rest appropriately. She left the house clean.
