I'm writing this letter of recommendation for Karen Walterscheid and FamilyFirst Estate Sales because Karen was literally our "angel" in our time of need!! We hired her to hold a "living" estate sale for my elderly brother-in-law, whom we had to move to Austin due to health issues. We put his home on the market Feb. 1, hoping to get it sold quickly. We got a great offer the early part of July, and had to 'vacate' his home by July 29th, our closing date. After contacting Karen, she met our realtor at the house, and agreed to do our sale. This was about 2 weeks before we had to be completely out of the house! She worked very hard over this time to organize, mark, research, etc..all the belongings still in the home! She had the 3-day sale, and did a fantastic job for us.....giving us much more $$ than we'd thought possible!! She even arranged for a charity to come to the home after the sale, pick-up anything left and gave my brother-in-law a receipt for his taxes. When we arrived back at the house, we were shocked to find that it was just PERFECT!! Everything had been cleaned thoroughly....we had nothing to do!! She earned her $$ many times over!! We were so pleased w/everything about the way Karen handled this for us, as we live in Austin, Tx...not Fort Worth, so we weren't up there to "supervise" and ck on how things were going!
We would recommend Karen HIGHLY to anyone needing help with finalizing an estate....she even used a spread sheet to show us exactly what had been sold, and the price for each thing sold! We needed someone to do this quickly, and efficiently...getting us the most $$ we could for my brother-in-law. Thanks again, Karen, SO MUCH for all your help!!

We hired her to hold a "living" estate sale for my elderly brother-in-law, whom we had to move to Austin due to health issues We put his home on the market Feb. 1, hoping to get it sold quickly We got a great offer the early part of July, and had to 'vacate' his home by July 29th, our closing date After contacting Karen, she met our realtor at the house, and agreed to do our sale This was about 2 weeks before we had to be completely out of the house! She worked very hard over this time to organize, mark, research, etc..all the belongings still in the home! She had the 3-day sale, and did a fantastic job for us.....giving us much more $$ than we'd thought possible!! We were so pleased w/everything about the way Karen handled this for us, as we live in Austin, Tx...not Fort Worth, so we weren't up there to "supervise" and ck on how things were going! We would recommend Karen HIGHLY to anyone needing help with finalizing an estate....she even used a spread sheet to show us exactly what had been sold, and the price for each thing sold!
