This is a side by side hammer gun, with double triggers. It is believed to be a 12-gauge. There are some markings under the foregrip, which are pictured. The overall length is 49 inches. There is age related wear, including pitting. One of the hammers is loose and missing the screw. There is an illegible number stamped into the underside of the barrel, which may or may not be a serial number. The “ELG” proof mark is also stamped into the underside of the barrel. Not tested. This iconic European glassware was most likely produced in the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia), in the mid 20th century. No obvious chips or cracks. It has a cork handle, agate stripping guides, and nickel silver hardware. It is hand signed, with the serial number 36090. The Heddon rod is two pieces, 58”L, and has a cork handle. The downlocking reel seat mechanism is often referred to as the “Heddylin” seat. The patent number 1624052 was granted on April 12, 1927.
