This is a grouping of 4 books for the World's Fair Collector. THE CENTURY WORLD’S FAIR BOOK FOR BOYS AND GIRLS by Tudor JENKS, 1893 published by The Century Co. 246 pp. Filled with sketches & photographs from the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Two prior owner’s names on the 1st blank flyleaf, otherwise unmarked. Detailed Fair map just inside the front board. Externally soiled, showing much edge & corner wear, BUT Fully Intact. WORLD’S FAIRS YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW by Roberta Fleming Roesch. 96 pp. indexed. States “Chenoweth Library” just inside the front board, and pocket remains are just inside the rear board, but otherwise, the book is clean with no internal library markings. Externally, no library markings except the library stamp on the page edges (as seen when the book is closed). The title page is missing, but the book is totally intact otherwise. OFFICIAL PRICE GUIDE TO WORLD’S FAIR MEMORABILIA -- FIRST EDITION by Richard Friz. 1989, published by House of Collectibles. 355 pp. indexed SOFTBACK. Some photos interspersed throughout, with color plates in the center. At random, there are a few listings circled, but that in no way affects the readability. Prior owner’s name atop the half-title page. VERY GOOD +. ALL THE WORLD’S A FAIR by Robert W. Rydell. 1987, published by the University of Chicago Press. 383 pp. indexed SOFTBOUND. Subtitled, “Visions of Empire at American International Expositions 1876 – 1916”. There is a 2” crease line on the rear bottom corner, and there is quite light yellow highlighting on a few lines on random pages, from pg. 11 to pg. 55. The highlighting is very faint and does NOT affect readability. Prior owner’s name atop the 1st blank flyleaf, else VERY GOOD.
