This auction lot is for a Vintage Small Brown Bead Rosary. This rosary was purchased in Rome during the Holy Year of 1950 as stated on the crucifix and the central medal. It is a wonderful rosary especially for one with smaller hands. Marked "Anno Santo" (Holy Year) 1950 which was a Jubilee Year declared by Pope Pius XII, according to Wikipedia and the Holy See. It was proclaimed as a time for penance, prayer, and reconciliation, particularly after World War II.
