This auction lot is for a beautiful Vintage Russian Metal Icon. This icon is all metal over velour-covered wood. The art appears to be totally stamped on the metal and then the metal was bent or embossed to enhance the features. The Icon measures about 12X14-inches. There is an indention on the left top hand of the wood backing and a protuberance on the opposite right side - see photo. There is written Russian information on the bottom of the metal but it is quite rubbed and pitted and not discernible. This Icon is most probably a tourist item but appears to be of a good quality and would make a handsome additional to most any wall.
