Vintage Framed art hand crafted frame lithograph? reproduction print of Aurora by Guido Reni. The original Reni ceiling fresco, this is based on, is in the Casino dell’Aurora in Rome and was painted in 1614. It depicts Aurora, goddess of the dawn, bringing forth a new day as she leads the way for Apollo, god of light, who follows behind in his quadriga. The dancing women in the foreground are representations of the hours, showing the passage of time. It is presented behind glass with a wooden hand carved plaster like frame, papered back, and has wire to hang, but in our opinion, needs some loving restoration to the frame.
