Vintage altimeter that belonged to and was used Paul F. Kerr. The instrument is used by engineers and especially geologist to determine true elevations and also to establish strike and dip of rock strata. One is held in the Smithsonian. This is the Model A-1, measures 6†diameter, 3†deep. The instrument is in clean excellent condition, the leather straps have wear.
