This poster, a first printing by renowned collage artist David Singer, was created for The Who's infamous opening date for the Quadrophenia tour in 1973. It was in the middle of this concert that Keith Moon passed out on his drum kit more than once after taking too many tranquilizers and he could not continue. Pete Townsend called out to the audience for a drummer and 19-year old Scott Halpin, from Iowa, heeded the call and joined the band onstage for three songs. This is an authentic piece of memorabilia from the heyday of the 1960’s counterculture, having belonged to a devoted music fan and collector based in Philadelphia.
