Original vintage oil on canvas, "Colorado River" by Grand Junction, CO artist, Ruth G. Moss (1916-2011) is exceptionally beautiful. It truly warrants appreciation. Ruth started with sculpting and works with clay in high school and pursued her education At John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis, IN and then Students Art Legue in New York City. She was a founding member of the Western Colorado Center for Arts, as well as a long-time member of Altrusa. She favored landscape and portrait paintings. After viewing several of her works, I am in awe! In spite of its vintage classification, I find her art to be surprisingly relevant and modern. Measurements are in pictures, canvas 16"x 20", framed 22" x 26".
