Rookwood Grecian Urn, Chinese Brown glaze. This Rookwood Grecian urn from 1946 is a nice example of the Chinese Brown glaze. The glaze is expertly applied to accent the design, and it is has typical fine crazing throughout. Every example of these vases we have seen has the same fine crazing, and we speculate it may have been intentional to give it an "anicient" feel. The urn is decorated in the round with classic greek figures and fig trees. It is free from chips, cracks or repairs and is in excellent original condition. Shape number 6791, it displays well, and is a great piece to accent nearly any decor.. 11"
