Rare alabaster sculpture bust character Pierrot possibly by Trafeli Febo. This piece is unsigned but closely resembles Febo's work. Most likely 1920s The subject item is a white alabaster, bust length sculpture portrait of the world famous French clown, Pierrot. The handsome character is dressed in a tight fitting skull cap and extended frilled ruff at the neck, in the traditional manner. The creamy white stone exhibits a luminous transparency. The bust rests on a separate and unattached marble base, fitted to receive the metal rod on the bust itself. There is a small bruise to the end of the figure’s nose, and the expected wear from decades of display. 12â€h x 7.5â€w Base is separate - marble
