#551 ITEM: Rare 1935 Vintage Book on Chinese Religion DESCRIPTION: This book “Chinese Religion seen through the Proverb†was published by the Shanghai Modern Publishing House originally in 1924 with the second edition in 1935. The book details the historical changes in Chinese religion over an extended period of time, and the monumental changes coming with the cultural and religious revolution happening in the early 20th C. The book retains the original block printed dust jacket (please see photos for condition issues.) The hardback book itself is in good condition. Note the swastikas used as a good fortune symbol here.
