This antique (ca 1910-1915) art nouveau photo frame comes from a Lafayette, Louisiana estate and is accompanied by the original receipt when it was purchased that that owner. The item was purchased in 1987 for $140.00 from Barbara P. Alpren Antiques in West Orange, NJ and is described as an Art Nouveau painted iron frame. This lovely floral design frame still has the remnants of the original paint - stands about 12.5 inches tall and 7 inches wide at the top. Photo opening is about 7.5" x 5.25". HEAVY. You could also have a piece of mirror cut to fit and turn it into a vanity mirror.
