This lot contains nine Japanese hair combs with a case, three fans, and a gorgeous hand-painted navy silk parasol. Starting with the parasol, this piece has a bamboo handle and features beautiful blooming roses. It measures about 32”D when erect x 26”H. There is a small tear, see pictures for details. Next is a small collection of nine stunning Japanese decorative combs, all with slightly different ornate details. They all measure approximately 3.5” x 2” and come with what appears to be silk, case. One of the black combs has some shell inlays that have chipped, see pictures for details. Next we have three folding hand fans. The first appears to be plain bamboo and paper. The second also appears to be bamboo and paper and has what appears to be a hand-painted fruit bloom on one side. The last fan is a stunning, what appears to be hand-painted bamboo fan with a detailed rendition of a harbor scene on the leaf part of the fan. This fan is a bit torn in some places, see pictures for details. Shipping available.
