This auction lot is for two Handwritten Letters from Jesse Stuart. These letters - written on onion skin paper - are written on consecutive days and both refer to the fact that writing work submitted to the New Yorker Magazine by Fr. McGill/Tatman was rejected. Mr. Stuart really speaks his mind about the New Yorker editors in one of them. He is quite encouraging to Fr. McGill/Tatman to continue with his journalist efforts. The letters are dated January 23 and 24, 1966. Jesse Stuart was a nationally known and well published author of many short stories, poems and novels.
