Gorgeous Victorian Framed Print, Portrait of 2 Girls in White Lace Dresses with Blue Bows, Extravagant Frame with Scrolled Detail, 1800’s, Germany/Austria. Hand colored tinted print is damaged and torn in several spots, water damage on bottom center. Signed by the artist “Naegeli”. This is a photograph that has been tinted with gouache, a type of colorization done in the 1800’s. The photographer may have been Albert Naegeli, who worked in New York. Prints origins are from the regions of Germany or Austria. It dates to the late 1800’s and measures 47” W x 57” L in the frame, print measures 35” W x 45” L. The frame show some wear from age. The gold tone paint on the frame is flaking in some spots, their are cracks in frame, nothing unexpected from something this old. The back of the piece can be covered to prevent more tears. We are presenting this print the way it came to us. This is a PICK UP ONLY item. We will not ship this item. If you want it shipped you must make your own arrangements for pick up, packing and shipping. It is quite heavy.
