French Gothic Revival Religious Wall Plaque Apostles Creed The subject item is a large 19th C antique chapel wall plaque created to help the faithful recite the Apostles' Creed. This hand lettered and painted piece, is, in itself, a work of art. The painted panel in the shape of an arch, has been framed with a simple heavy molding, and has darkened over the decades with excessive exposure to candle smoke, which confirms its use in a venerated setting. The panel has some shrinkage cleaving, but none disrupt the image or compromise structural integrity. CIRCA: Late 19th C. 67 X 23.5 Inches This item has a modest reserve.
