#131 “Buffalo Signal†cast bronze of Native American by Frederick Remington The subject item is a limited edition, contemporary bronze casting posing a Native American scout on horseback signaling other members of a search party by waving a fragment of buffalo robe over his head. The artist, Frederick Remington, is of course, the famous American artist noted for both painting and sculpting figures of the American West expansion. The bronze has been mounted onto a polished walnut base. The rifle has been bent slightly but can be righted. Beautiful patina indicating age. 20 x 27 x 7 inches
