This is an extremely high quality grand format mandolin, drum, and bells music box made by a master craftsman, BA Bremond of Geneva, in the late 19th century. Mahogany and satinwood case having floral spray inlay to the top and cartouche inlay to the front with ebonized trim. Underside of lid with the original tune card reading "Fabrique de Geneve" with a list of the twelve music selections and marked with the serial number #18207. Glass cover with cutout wood corners.A unique feature of this music box is that the winding handle is inside the box. In great condition overall, but the walnut wood may need some refinishing and the batter head of the drum may need replacing.
