This auction lot is for an Ancient Cambodian (?) Statue Head. The statue appears to be a part of an old Budda, Diety or GoddessThis wonderful fragment of what surely must have been quite a magnificent ancient statue is in very good condition for its age and travels. The head measures about 4.5-inches tall not including the stand with a diameter of about 3-inches. It is carved/moulded from an ore-bearing stone of some type. This item is from the estate of US State Department employees who were stationed in Southeast Asia in the 1950s. Comes with the stand. The heirs tell us the collectors were living in Laos but traveled throughout the region in search of interesting items like this. We previously sold their collected items from Africa. NOTE: There is another similar item elsewhere in this auction. Where are you gonna find items like this on the open market. We are offering this item with no reserve.
