Antique Hall’s Standard Refrigerator Ice Box $595 This is circa 1890. A block of ice would rest in the zinc lined interior box. It would melt and drain out the bottom. The legs are raised to allow for drainage. This would be the pride of a modern Victorian kitchen before electricity. This measures 42 X 32 X 23â€. It has handles on the sides. The A. D. Hall and Son Refrigeration Company operated in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1915 its’ demise was by fire.
