Originally purchased in 1972 from an art gallery - charming little etching by Impressionist artist Camille Pissarro, one of the greats! English title is "Cowherd at Water's Edge" or "Vachere au bard de L'eau". Numbered 31/100 - signed in plate "Attelier Pissarro". This piece was done ins 1890 - artist died in 1903. He was the only artist to be chosen to exhibit in all 8 Paris Impressionism exhibits from 1874-1886. Plate measures 7 5/8" x 5.25" - whole thing is 19.25" x 16.5". This work was appraised a few years ago by a local certified appraiser - you will get a copy of her report. She valued the work for insurance purposes at $2,000.
